If you are looking for something to watch while staying at home I recommend “Havana Motor Club”. I stumbled across this the other day on Hulu.

It follows a few car enthusiasts as they help bring racing back to Cuba. It gets into Cuba’s history with racing, shows the creativeness and determination enthusiasts there have , and follows their personal stories a bit too. While some of the guys get a bit too caught up in being “ macho” at times it’s still worth a watch. It’s currently available on Hulu if you have that, may be elsewhere too but I didn’t check.

I will warn you though that it is all in spanish so you either need to be okay reading subtitles or understand spanish. And even if you’re not, you should still watch, because the cars are all fantastic.

If you want to see how “weird” the history of racing down there is... read up on the time the revolutionaries kidnapped and held Fangio hostage during the Formula One races in Cuba . Crazy stuff. Those people are still in charge, too. ugh.

I don't think there was a single car throughout that I didn't like. Cubans apparently have great taste

I respect their ingenuity and much of their style, not to mention working through such difficulty.

It’s on amazon prime as well.  Good show, worth the watch.
